Ruadhan O Deasmhunaigh & Molly Sterling: Performing Individual Sets
Ruadhan is a Cork-born singer, a songwriter, a storyteller and a poet who shares his own story in English and as Gaeilge as a conduit for connection. Interwoven with love and humour, the songs and stories are an invitation to understand ourselves and the world. From melancholy ballads to foot stomping rompers, the show has it all, surfing the waves of emotion. It’s about family and community, love and loss. It will leave you uplifted and connected.
Molly Sterling is a singer-songwriter based in Cork, who uses their creativity as a way to get to know themselves throughout this crazy ‘ol world, over and over again. Featuring piano, guitar and vocals, Molly’s music tells the story of what it means to be curious about healing from the past, and introduces us to all the ways in which they have both lost hope, and figured out how to sustain it again.
Molly’s songwriting and vocals have featured on Nealo’s RTE Choice Prize 2020 nominated album ‘All the Leaves are Falling’, an album that has been featured the hit TV series by Sally Rooney ‘Conversations with Friends’ and they have toured the UK as a vocalist in punk-jazz band, Vernon Jane. Sterling has appeared as a solo artist at the likes of Other Voices (Dingle), Output Festival, First Fortnight, Forbidden Fruit and Sea Sessions, to name but a few.
